Short answer
The HaloRed® Vitality Booth combines dry salt dispersion via a HaloGX PRO halogenerator with red light (630–660 nm) and near-infrared from four sides in a closed booth. It comes in three sizes for one, two or up to three people. Between sessions, the booth disinfects itself automatically with UV light, and it requires no external ventilation. For operators, it is a visible signature offer with parallel throughput.

What is a salt and red light booth?
Salt rooms and red light are each established wellness applications. The HaloRed® Vitality Booth brings both into one booth. A halogenerator disperses very fine dry salt particles into the air while red and near-infrared panels shine from above, the front and the sides. The manufacturer holds a US patent on this combination and describes how the salt particles refract the light in the room.
For your marketing: the manufacturer’s documentation lists numerous health effects, for example for respiratory or skin conditions. Don’t adopt these for a wellness offer. Communicate room climate, light, calm and the experience of the combination.
Design and technical features
| Feature | HaloRed® Vitality Booth Plus (manufacturer data) |
|---|---|
| Salt technology | HaloGX PRO halogenerator, very fine dry salt particles |
| Light technology | red light 630–660 nm and near-infrared, panels on four sides |
| US regulation | red light panels FDA-registered (Class II) according to the manufacturer |
| Hygiene | automatic UV sterilization between sessions |
| Room air | closed booth, no HVAC adjustment needed |
| Sizes | Small, Medium, Large |
The US registration is a quality signal for the light technology but does not replace classification under European law. For wellness businesses in Germany, the booth remains a wellness application.

Which size fits which facility?
| Size | Capacity | Equipment | Typical use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small | 1 person | 3 red light panels (1 large, 2 small) | beauty salon, practice, small spa |
| Medium | 2 people | 2 large red light panels | studio, hotel spa, couples |
| Large | up to 3 people | 4 panels, also with cardio machine or lounger | premium studio, longevity center |
The multi-person sizes change the economics significantly: when two or three people book a session at the same time, revenue per hour rises without extra staff or space. The Large version can also be combined with a cardio machine, which makes it interesting for gyms.
What does a session look like?
Guests enter the booth in everyday or workout clothes, sit or lie down, and the program starts. Sessions of around 10 to 20 minutes are common for red light. After the session, UV disinfection runs automatically; staff only need a quick check. Protective eyewear belongs in the process.
How the booth pays off
The booth is a visibility product: red light and salt air have an instant impact in the room and work well for social media and reception areas. Packages and memberships drive the economics: skin-focused series in beauty, recovery upgrades in gyms. How red light systems compare is shown in the light and salt systems comparison. Booth details are on our salt and red light therapy page.
HF Concepts Check: how we rate the salt and red light booth by facility type
In the HF Concepts Check, we score nine criteria from 1 to 5: client benefit, plausibility & regulation, target fit, investment, marketability, integration, time & staff, earnings and differentiation. The score always applies to a specific facility type. Select the facility that matches yours in the scorecard.
Our assessment after reviewing the technology, based on typical facilities of each type. No guarantee for any individual case.
Wellness & beauty (37): a visible experience, good for series; communication must carefully filter out manufacturer claims.
Gym (35): multi-person sizes suit groups and post-workout recovery upgrades.
Longevity center (34): a good experience component, but less program-ready than modular light systems.
Hotel & spa (33): strong visual impact, but guests book series less often.
Common mistakes we see in projects
- Copying manufacturer claims: health claims about asthma, eczema or migraine don’t belong in wellness advertising.
- Wrong size: a Small booth in a high-frequency gym wastes capacity.
- No eyewear or suitability check: light-sensitive people should be asked beforehand.
- Sold only as single sessions: the booth lives on repetition, not one-off trials.
Conclusion
The HaloRed® Vitality Booth combines two well-known wellness applications in a closed system that is easy to keep hygienic. Its operational advantages: instant visual impact, no ventilation work and multi-person versions for more revenue per hour. It fits best in beauty salons, studios and longevity centers that work with packages and clearly separate experience from health claims.
